Students and adults are inevitably overwhelmed with emotion after visiting Yad Vashem and Mt. Herzl Military Cemetery. During this workshop, participants have the opportunity to process this experience, uncovering their emotions and reactions while expressing themselves artistically as they together create a meaningful, unique mural. Through this processing workshop, participants reflect on the enormous tragedy that befell the Jewish people during the Holocaust and the sacrifices of thousands of soldiers for the State of Israel, and make connections between their national history and their personal lives. They have the opportunity to embrace both sorrow and hope, uncovering messages that are relevant to their own lives.

We believe that harnessing the arts, via our interactive programs, is a necessity, not a luxury, and is an effective model for Jewish education, identity and community.
