Jewish Papercutting: Making a Difference

Jewish papercutting is an ancient artistic technique that has been incorporated in Jewish holiday and life-cycle events throughout the ages. In our papercutting sessions, participants learn this time-honored technique while also gaining new insights into ancient rituals such as the Havdalah service, where they create a personalized Havdalah mat. This program can be adapted to themes and texts for bar/bat mitzvah celebrations, Jewish holidays, as well as many other Jewish rituals.

Kol HaOt imparts Jewish values, texts and history through a creative synthesis of the visual and performing arts.

We believe that harnessing the arts, via our interactive programs, is a necessity, not a luxury, and is an effective model for Jewish education, identity and community.
